>>35394442>Gen 6 has, hands down, the 3 best looking legendaries in the series. Xerneas, Yveltal and Zygarde (Specifically the 50% form which is his best form anyway).I mean, they are not terrible like Gen 4's Legendaries, but they are completely uninspired. Just legendary animals from Norse myth turned into the most obvious designs. Moreover, their design-to-gameplay connection is pretty tenous. Kyogre and Groudon are by far the best designs for Legendaries. For both gameplay and design reasons. The fact you actually see their fans competing with each other and antagonizing in the community is proof of this.
>2 of the 3 starters look great from their first form to their last form.Delphox line is 6/10 all around. Greninja and Chesnaught are 7/10. I mean, they are not trash like Gen 5's starters, but I don't feel particularly excited about them. They don't even make it into the Top 3 Starters of their respective types, IMO, which to my eyes means mediocre.
>Dragalge, Talonflame, Clawitzer, Noivern, Aegislash, Malamar, Tyrantrum, Trevnant, Meowstic and Klefki.>All straight up 10/10 designs.Tyrantrum is the only 10/10 there. And he sucks even in game.
Talonflame and Dragalge are 9/10 on a good day. I would personally give them an 8/10.
Clawitzer, Noivern, Aegislash, and Trevenant are on the good side of mediocre, but still mediocre Pokemon. I would never feel excited about putting them on my team.
Malamar is a very clever idea, but poorly implemented. The opposite of Gen 6's legendaries. So also deserving of a 7/10 at most.
Meowstic and Klefki are just bad. 5-10.
>Then we move on to the not absolutely perfect but still really fucking solid designs which are ->Hawlucha, Carbink, Sylveon, Gourgeist, Avalugg, Goodra, Pangoro, Pyroar, Gogoat, Vivillion, Heliolisk and Furforu. The only good designs here are Carbink and Pangoro. Hawlucha, Gourgeist, and Heliolisk are Mediocremons at 6/10. Everything else is uninspired trash on the lower side of Mediocre at 5/10.
