>>35394875Yes. The only main character with any potential to be a pokemon master is James. The show stresses over and over that the most important thing is the bond between a trainer and their pokemon and nobody cares for their pokemon like James. Almost every pokemon he has he got through befriending them, rarely abandons them and is devastated when he does. Ash on the other hand, with the exception of pikachu, barely knows his pokemon and will throw them away as soon as he enters a new region without hesitation. I would love to see a spinoff show where Jessie, James and Meowth quit Team Rocket and try to be more than just grunts. Jessie going back to nursing school, James training to win leagues, and Meowth becoming a ranger. Having to make something of themselves while dealing with their bad rep could make a good drama geared towards a more adult audience
