And that isn't canon. No Pokémon ever talks in the mainline games, not even Mewtwo. Rotomdex is the first Pokémon to ever canonically talk in the mainline games (unless you want to count Chatot) and it makes no fucking sense since it can't talk when possessing other shit and Rotom is not found in Alola at all.

No fucking shit, it can talk because it's possessing the Pokedex. The Pokedex is what allows it to talk. Outside of the Pokedex, it's just a normal non-talking Rotom.

The anime isn't canon to the mainline games. The Pokédex doesn't talk in the games and the descriptions are written by the trainers themselves.

No they aren't, it's explicitly stated in every game when you receive the Pokedex that it writes the entries themselves. The trainer doesn't do anything, the Pokedex just automatically records data.

I bought X recently and beat it while I hadn't touch a Pokémon in years. I think it was good. I got UM too but I find it inferior in everyway. For the games that I own how I rated them is:

With Megas and Z-loves, Pokemon has been introducing new gimmicks every gen, personally I think it's a bad sign, Digimon and Yugioh introduced gimmicks in each installment for the "wow!" Factor to bring in kids, while the main concept kept getting more and more forgotten.

I'm expecting 2 Pokemon to hold some weird stones and to fuse at this point, like some retarded MegaStone/Z-Crystal thing.
