How hard is it to complete the seen only Unova dex in BW2 without trading? Been blowing through various games named after my friend to get him caught up on legendaries and comtemplating playing Black 2 as him to get him a shiny Haxourous as a bonus reward to playing it.

Debating what team I should use post-Ultra Necrozma in US/UM. Right now I have:
-Primarina
-Dusk Lycanroc
-Zoroark
-Totem Marowak
-Magnezone
-Kommo-o

However, I kinda want to use an Ultra Beast, and with the Fairy trial coming up (and a lack of good Poison-type powerhouses barring Salazzle, who I've used in Moon) Nihilego seems good.

Also I want to use Necrozma since I fucking love that evil prism, but you can get Mewtwo before the Elite Four and now I dunno if I want to use it or not since when the hell else am I going to get that opportunity?

Now usually I don't use UBs or legendaries, but I do know Magnezone could handle the Fairy Totem well, if it knows Flash Cannon.
Nihilego would work, but the Totem knows Psychic I think.
You get Necrozma in Victory Road.

I used to be in the same boat of "no legendaries"... until I learned that Sun/Moon had special cutscenes that would play on Mount Lanakila and against Tapu Koko if Nebby was in the party. Plus sometimes, I just want to make the world burn :V

I've also considered Naganadel, but it needing to relearn Dragon Pulse (which it can only do at the Elite Four's welcome mat) kinda knocks it out of the running.

Also Magnezone seems liable to be replaced if I go for Necrozma since I have Ultra Sun, but that'll cost me an Electric-type.

Alternatively Kommo-o might get the axe since I can also have Necrozma go full Dragon if need be, plus 4x Fairy weakness and the poor bastard's own Z-Crystal is locked behind the postgame.

Totem Marowak's another odd one. While I'd like a more Alolan team, I've never trained a Zoroark before and it was a big help against Ultra Necrozma (though so was Magnezone), plus it knows Flamethrower and Dark just hits more things. I might replace either one of them with Blacephalon or something, who knows.

Playing Platinum Randomized. Have a team of Charmander, Mudkip, Shiny Starly and Eeve. I'm kinda dissapointed in the variety of pokemon. This is my first randomizer so I expected some absolutely bizzare and random pokemon.

Soft resetting for a good nature (Jolly) shiny Gyarados in Heart Gold. You know the one. It continues to elude me. I have obtained 4 Legendaries with the right natures in the mean time in USUM but this Gyarados just will not co-operate.

Finally got a new battery for my Emerald cart and I'm about to start my new file, on my quest for a full 386 dex there. I usually pick Treecko (my favorite) for Ruby and Torchic for Sapphire, but Mudkip and I don't mesh well together. I'm also hoping to actually assemble a full team of 6 instead of steamrolling with just my starter. Any recommendations?

Just beat Bugsy in Moon Silver - it's an edit of Storm Silver that plays around with moves, Pokemon typing and the type chart a little more. Some changes are cool, some seem unneccesary.

For example Surskit thankfully keeps its Water typing when it evolves. Onix is a fucking Dragon type

Leafeon's been serving me pretty well. It's learning Leaf Blade in a few levels and that combined with swords dance should be good enough to take down most things i would need it too.

Plus it's got great physical bulk and is super adorable

Also, I found a Zubat in Castelia Sewers with a Careful Nature. That good? Or should I go for something better?
Note that this is a mono Poison run, every Nature needs to count here.

Speaking of Natures, what's a good one for Grimer? I'm planning on grabbing one as well.

Admittedly, my knowledge of early Gen 4 games is limited, mostly because Heartgold was my first ever Pokemon game (I was late joining the party, don't judge me).

Post-game in Ultra Moon. as for nature it really doesn't matter as much for single player as long as it doesn't reduce special attack

The clefairy line is my favorite because they’re so cute and unassuming but they can learn meteor mash, so for the last couple years I’ve been going through a run in each region while having a clefairy and keeping it that way until it learns the move. For the teams I’ve just been doing fun stuff. For gens 2 and 4 I swapped the starters for a different experience, gens 3 and 6 will be mystery egg runs, BW I’m going to use mons you could normally only get in BW2, for BW2 and gen 7 I’m doing monotype (normal and fairy respectively). I’ve been at it for probably about 2 years off and on, and I finally finished gen 4 recently. Just started BW a couple days ago, and I think it’ll pick up a bit from here.

Also, you have to think WAY outside the box with the Pokemon you use. Oh and every Gym Leader has 6 Pokemon.
And honestly I wouldn't mind the main games doing that.

Playing Ultra Sun, really enjoyed it. Just beat the RR Episode, dunno where to go to find Zossie and Dulse now though.
Completed my dex before doing the RR Episode though, and I'm going to help my little sister get the Nurse Joy outfit too because I kept all the grindy evos and trade w/ item evos.

Now, aside from trying to find Zossie and Dulse, I'm doing a lot of wormhole running and surfing. Getting fucked by the Poni Course, but I really love the wormholes, glad they put shinies and infinite UBs to prevent it from becoming totally useless once all the legends are caught, although I've not bothered to catch any legends myself because of lacking physical synchronizers.

I've been looking for a Shiny Sigilyph from them, no dice. Only a Barbaracle (named Grabman.exe) and a Stunfisk (named Placemat) shined for me.
I'm alright with the fixed wormhole shinies really, doesn't make the ones I've worked for any less special. Going for a Blacephalon soon because it's easy to just spam REs while watching videos and shit.
Also good lord, that run on sentence in the latter part of my post.
