Yeah, Kukui is working his gimmick as MR, but unlike with Prince Adam having Cringer lounging about only for it to morph into Battle-Cat when he does his He-Man thing, Kukui isn't shown to have an Incineroar kicking about (and so far the fandom's guesses on what he does have on-hand have been well wrong), so you'll forgive me for not making the schoolboy error and assuming Kukui has an Incineroar also, until it's actually confirmed he does.
