Now that everyone is starting to come to a consensus the Pokemon franchise is dying, might I consider looking into Digimon? If you haven't played any games lately, I encourage you to check some out. The wide variety of different genres over the year is on par with all of the spin offs for Pokemon.
Gameplay aside, Digimon is a franchise that has grown up with it's audience. It also appeals to autists of every type. There's titty monsters, baras, monster girls, furry shit, you name it. Not to mention by its own definition, Digimon are technically real.

My greatest dream has always been to see Digimon come back and overtake Pokemon and I think it could finally be time.
