I played BW when it first came out and -other than the linearity and the questionable design of a bunch of Pok{emon- I loved it. Probably my favorite game in the series other than the Johto games.
However, I never played BW2 because by then I was done with third installments (last one I played was Emerald). They felt too similar to the original games to justify playing them.
However, whenever I see a game ranking here on /vp/ I almost always see BW2 at the top, along with HGSS.
Should I play BW2? Why? Is it better than BW? How does it compare to other third entries and other games in the franchise in general? Is it too similar to BW? What things are different/new? Why do so many people rank it among the best?
