How many people don't actually hate any of the games, but just have favorites?
There's never been a Pokemon game that I actually disliked. I definitely have my favorites and my least favorites, but I've never had an issue with the gimmicks they add to the games.

I'm this same way. Gen 6 and 7 are hard for me to replay but I still loved them my first time through, and I think USUM made some really good additions they were just bad taste following SuMo. Gen 1 will always be my favorite because of nostalgia by I honestly have a hard time picking a least favorite.

Completely agree. USUM is the only game I didn't like. I just wish they took out the handholding. It wasn't terrible for me the first time with SM

I disliked X. They did some good things (PSS, Wonder Trade) but the bad outweighs the good.

Also wasn't a fan of SoulSilver. I've never actually completed the games. I've tried like 3 times but I get bored part-way through. I played Silver a lot as a kid and the remakes didn't change enough to warrant my purchase.

I wouldn't go as far as saying I hate gen 7, but I disliked Sun so much that I won't buy gen 8 if they take the series even further down that route. I had no desire to buy USUM and unless they do something different with the Switch games I will have no desire to buy those either (despite already owning a Switch). It's a shame because I have been with the series for the last 20 years and I've spent so much time playing the games, it's sad to see my passion for the series completely fade out. I don't even post on /vp/ often these days, I'm only here posting here because I saw this thread when I accidentally clicked on this board.

Replaying Ranger Guardian Signs made it apparent how much I loathe the story and characters
X and Y are more of a slog to get through than SM
Gates to Infinity is more chatty than an MGS game
Explorers of Time and Darkness, DP and SM are the only games where playing them over the third versions feels pointless
