ITT: Godawful but realistic mechanics that would make pokemon 1000 times worse

I'll start. In order to breed pokemon have to battle together in a double battle a minimum of 10 times to raise their bond with each other. Maximum bond between two pokemon reached after 50 double battles together. Also, pokemon can no longer breed with either parent.
