Went to hospital last month due to two back spasms that exacerbated my chronic sciatica and prolapsed disc greatly. I've been suffering with it for two years now but the pain then was something else. My consultant has moved to Dubai so I saw the new guy on Monday - he has fast tracked me for a discectomy in six weeks. Since graduating last May I've done mostly fuck all. It's completely ruined my life and I've been locked away in my room for all of April because I can't walk round the block without a great deal of pain in spite of the five various types of medication I take. At least the surgery is a light at the end, but even then there will be a minimum six week recovery. This has been the worst year of my life so far.
