But if I'm really paying attention when catching something it's B, B, A, B, A, B + A in quick succession. Not because I ever thought it did anything but just because it feels right to do so (actually autistic).
You know what's kind of funny to know, though? That pressing buttons during battle like people for some reason thought doesn't do a damn thing but pressing and/or holding buttons while the games are loading CAN affect it in some games, because they affect the RNG as a whole (like Gen 5, specific button presses while the opening animations play are used to modify the RNG which you have to take into account when doing RNG abuse, as such).
