Innocent love evolving into something cruel that sucks the innards of its prey; weird, but it wouldn't be a first for gamefreak. As pointed out by some other anon in an older thread, luvdisc and gorebyss have the same shiny and share the same abilities.
Even with all that, I'd still prefer if luvdisc evolved into alomomola, if only because both are in need of an evo, which is not the case for gorebyss since, again, clamperl exists, and they also share a basic heart shape.
