>>35432204I'll concede on a few of those points, especially about us being in uncharted waters with Nintendo. You're right there and Nintendo could just drop it at E3 but I still think it's extremely unlikely since Smash was announced very recently and they've already said it will be the main focus of E3. The rest of what they'll be debuting is 3rd party switch titles; maybe Pokémon will be grouped with those but again, seems unlikely.
I honestly don't think the game is as ready as they wanted it to be at this point or they would have teased something. We saw how much importance they placed on Smash in the fiscal report which covered releases for 3DS through to 2019. We've already seen gameplay footage of smash and E3 is more than a month away but nothing on Pokémon.
So it's either:
>Game is not where they wanted it to be at this point>Game was never supposed to be revealed this early>They are planning a super sneaky reveal at E3Unless you've got anymore? Idk maybe I've just been cynical but I've viewed 2018fags as the wishful thinking party. Maybe that's wrong of me but it'd be great to have a switch Pokémon this year, I just don't see it happening at this point.
Still you raise good points, there's still every chance they will just do a shorter more intense period of promo for it.
Out of interest do you think Shuntaro Furukawa being made president will change anything? Supposedly he was heavily involved in the switches development and was previously a director for the Pokémon company division. If anyone's gonna secure a 2018 Pokémon switch game it's him.
