Pokemon used to be littered with dungeons, side areas, hidden rebattleable trainers and special hidden puzzles, as well as postgame content that encourages you to train new pokemon to have as much team variety as possible. Now it’s just a linear tour. You’re not adventuring anymore, you’re a fucking tourist, which makes sense because Hawaii only exists as a tourist destination anyway.

That's stupid for two reason if so because 1.) You can go through the games and see all of the content they've removed over the years. Dozens of pieces of content that would help give gave hundreds of hours of enjoyment have been removed/not updated. 2.) They admitted exactly that. The reason they don't add more is that mobile gamer kids supposedly don't have time for the content, so they don't make it. Considering the one who said it was the directer for the games before that and the producer for the ones he's talking aboutthere he'd fucking know, dipshit. 3.) Getting older is actually a reason you should feel like there is MORE content since you have less time to do what's there. Congrats on proving yourself wrong in your own statement. Since you're feeling like there is less that's there's because there's a LOT less. So much less that you have more than enough time to do it even in between adult stuff which you wouldn't if there was even equal content. Not to mention most of us who feel this way? Probably don't feel this way for other games (at least I don't - if anything the games I play have me playing for 3 times as long these days it used to be rare I pass 150 on any non-Pokémon game now it's usually 400+ when Pokémon is having trouble even hitting that as opposed to 5K hours on some of them in the past).

yes it is. Everything added in the old games was to improve or enhance your interaction with or through your Pokemon. Your Pokemon got Items to hold, you Pokemon got abilities. You could make secret bases, load bases of your friends and fight against them even when they are not physically there.
Battle Frontier, cutting grass, diving, etc.

What did Gen7 give us? cutscenes, even if they aren't as annoying as in Gen5.
Photographing stationary Pokemon?
Riding a few Pokemon which is nothing more than fast running or any other terrain passing which is an old thing even for Pokemon.

And Gen7 didn't even keep the good things from any other Gen. Just as always.

Fucking flat out retarded and wrong. Try actually building a team on cart and tell me it isn't still the most boring, tedius, soul sucking "gameplay" experience of any RPG ever.

I haven't played Sun and Moon but I have read accurate info on It. The problem with gens 6 and 7 are-
>The usual removal of good mechanics from previous games
>Fewer new pokemon per generation
>kanto pokemon being apart of gen 7&8's Dex's and given special treatment
>Legendary pokemon from other gens with no context in the story what so ever
>Simplistic caves for legendaries with no real theme, dungeon or puzzles to go with them.

Personally I find the reason why the games are easier and shorter is because I'm an over all better trainer. I understand far more about the pokemon and the games mechanics then my young self who didn't know about stab, used what ever pokemon I wanted regardless of type, didn't use stat raising moves sense I deemed them pointless, didn't know alot of the strategies that I do now and didn't realize the importance of coverage and using a well rounded team.
