There's no such thing as hard pokemon game. Gen 1 is the gold standard of the francise.

Gen 2? Kanto postgame. Gen 3? Ruined the series. Gen 4? One good Sinnoh game and games where you got to visit Kanto. Gens 5-7? Lol. And gen 1 is the gold standard, that's why GF panders to it so much.

Storywise other gens gave us much more.
Too bad the gameplay could not change, is the same stale formula every gen with different pokemon and some gen- gimmick like megaevolutions.
I hope switch will improve history and gameplay.

League could not sustain a whole series.
Story need to add something at least.
Evil teams help that but the formula is too old, it need something new.
Though maybe with a gameplay improvement, sun and moon were simple and linear.
Maybe we need more dungeons idk.
But seriously next gen\next game need a rework.

Why is that something to ponder about? Of course it is. Sales wise, relevancy wise, story wise, music wise, hell, 90% of gen1 is superior to every gen, no matter how much the nu-gen and underag fags seethe about it telling you it’s not.

Gen 1-2 pulled it off with minimal villain org involvement.

I agree that a good story could add a lot, though. Sun and Moon had the best story/characters by far but the pacing and immersion is so badly managed that it might as well be a different game.

I am not confident that GF can pull it off in the story department so I'd prefer if they just keep it to a minimum and let us role play more.
