Would you be satisfied if the games consisted of an expanded Kanto with the original routes being twice as big with new, branching paths leading out to other new locations?
What if the Pokedex was a "New Kantonian" dex? Have it consist of the original 151, with the addition of Johto mons that were available in GSC Kanto, Cross-Gen evolutions and a collection of 100 "Kantonian Formes" for a series of Gen 2-7 mons.
Throw in a World Tournament, in-game catchable Mew, PSS-esk system, and a redone Sevii Islands to include non-Kantonian mons.
