I'm playing through Crystal, and will do so if I bother to catch all Unown. As is, I only have "A"

This doesn't seem to apply to me in Pokemon, or I got over it. I used to try and force my whole party to be the same level in RPGs.
Particularly if certain characters were matched in any way.
So, the Twins in Final Fantasy 4 I would force to have the same exp at all times.

I have mild balltism. I like pokemon in balls based on whether they match the ball or the ball effect looks good with them. If I could, I'd put everything in a Love ball or a Dream ball but I settle for Heal balls, Luxury balls, Primier balls, and other common balls.

Good luck winning the lottery ever, dude. Traded mons give you higher odds of winning, which gives you better prizes. Better yet, you make breeding harder on yourself and can't use Masuda method for shinies if you don't use foreign mons.

I care about dates a bit much.
I like to have obtained event mon on the day of release, like to have my start date as the date of release etc. Though, I said like, I don't HAVE to have it all work out.

Genders have to match, so no male gardevoirs pls.

For balltism I hate using anything other than beast ball, pokeball or premier ball. I don't mind any pokeball used if it's a traded mon from an actual friend.

I go out of my way to make an """ultimate""" team for the pokemon league. I try to make it canon if it's what I consider the "canon" game. Like in Sun I would use Lycanroc, 3 starters, solgaleo, zygarde. Only because I think that it's only logical if you had the chance to have a legendary in their world, you would actually use it - plus the golden trio just makes sense. If I play the other game like moon I would base my team either on the same logic or go with a team that makes me feel a bit more individual (mainly for the golden trio tho)

I cannot use overlapping types.
I don't know what the fuck it is but I just can't do it.

I item finder the entire playthrough.

No nicknames unless I deem a pokemon worthy of one, such as nicknaming my shiny platinum shaymin sky "Kite".

If it wasn't obvious I like to add as many extra rules to hamper my progress as possible. Usually write down a list at the start of a new playthrough and add a few extra rules unique to that playthrough, even if it's as simple as using X shitmon.

Makes it a little more difficult and keeps me interested. A few irl friends do similar things on a smaller scale and it means we have different things to talk about even if we're playing the same game at the time.

I dont really do this one anymore but I used to get infuriated by one of the friends I played with. I guess we have similar taste or something but we'd end up having a lot of the same mons on our team and that set me off so much for some reason. I guess it was because my favorite thing to do is to battle my friends in game teams and it sucks when you think you got your own thing going for yourself and then someone shows up with a copy of your team.

I remember being irrationally upset when I got to a certain point in Moon and it the whole rider pokemon thing finally hit me and I realized the touncannon I'd trained from near the start of the game was just another flying mon that I didn't really need and not "my flier." It took some of the magic out of building a team to not have a designated flier, designated swimmer etc. for me.

I don’t like using Pokémon on teams I’ve used before
I try not to use type duplicates (unless they have a good secondary type)
When playing a new game, I can’t focus on background aspects and side quests until I beat the main story
I tend to only catch Pokémon I am going to use for my team
