Is it a thing? Is there any way to boost shiny odds?
IIRC, I can only run around or hatch for eternity and hope.

Yes it’s a thing, no “boosting odds” it’s 100 1/8192 hunting. The bike is your best friend if you’re gonna do REs or breed in gen 3.
