>>35443829>>35443835Now I wouldn't say it's awful, but I'm also a huge whore for the series. Yes, I enjoyed the sadistic RNG in the game. Although even I had to change my 3DS clock to get one of those last S-Ranks and Gilgaros, holy fuck the RNG was not with me there.
YW2 is certainly an improvement though. The story is just minorly connected between the two, basically all you need to know (which you can figure out in the beginning) is that you, protag, were already friends with Whisper and Jibanyan and have had some adventures already. There's some reappearing [mini?] bosses, mostly in postgame IIRC, from YW1 you may not recognize, but it doesn't matter much. Also besides some new mechanics, Whisper seems much more aloof, a la his anime persona. compared to YW1 (I got the impression he wasn't a great butler but certainly not as incapable as in YW2 and onwards), but that's if you care about the story.
also >TFW I got YW1 the day it came out and YW2 I preloaded
>TFW still have yet to get a Pandanoko on eitherIt's literally the only one I need left in YW1 too, ffs. For those of you who don't know what the fuck I'm talking about, imagine ORAS Eon Ticket, only you don't need to have one to give the person you Streetpassed with a chance to get it. But there's only a 1% chance they'll get it when you Streetpass them, and even then, they likely still have to SR to get the Yo-kai.
