Lets say Kanto game looks like this

Route 1: Rattata, Pidgey, Sewaddle, Bunnelby
Viridian Forrest: Weedle, Caterpie, Pikachu, Spinarak, Grubbin, Scatterbug, Burmy
Mt Moon: Geodude, Zubat, Paras, Clefairy, Drilbur, Aron, Roggenrola
Power Plant: Magnemite, Voltorb, Pikachu, Electabuzz, Charjabug, Helioptile, Tynamo, Flaafy
Lavender Tower: Gastly, Haunter, Duskull, Litwick, Pumpkaboo, Honedge

Literally the only way I would accept another return to Kanto.

They would have to add new locations and make existing ones much bigger and unique. They should also expand upon the Kanto regional Dec, adding new evolutions, regional variants and Pokemon from other regions.

And the tears from salty diehard genwunners will sustain me as I wait for Gen 8

Are there a beach area in Kanto? I don't remember one except Route 19 and there wasn't grass for wild Pokémon.

Maybe they should put grass on that route with new Pokémon like...
Meditite, Nosepass, Sandygast...

Kanto with new routes and areas would be interesting, something like Kanto after Gen 1/Gen 7 events.

Same here. Kanto needs to have a diverse regional dex and more places to explore. Filling in all that empty space would be a godsend.

If the dex is limited to just the original 151 without respective crossgen evos, it's an automatic pass for me. I almost never get a chance now to run the newer Pokemon in a nuzlocke because Kanto mons are always showing up. It's been bad to the point I've had to make a "No Kanto mons" clause.

Palette Town, Vermillion, Cerulean and Fuschia should all have beaches. Diglett tunnels should run all throughout the region and all cave areas can be connected. There's a new ruins area between the Plateau and Pewter City, and a big new forest north of Celadon. All the towns are a little bigger, more spaced-out with more distict styles and moods. Kanto is even more developed, with more houses on routes, some abandoned. The Indigo Plateau has a hot springs, and Cinnabar Island is big enough to explore, with grass and nature north of the town, which has expanded labs and a rebuilt mansion. Cerulean Cave is now far vaster, and even takes you above ground for some sections, as well as deep as an underground lake.
