>>35449057I traded a NA Entei/Raikou distro code for a(n almost certainly cloned, but I don't care) shiny event Mimikyu (OT: ポケセン), or ミミッキュ, rather, since it was a Japanese event and this qt doesn't evolve. I just checked - because I realized that I hadn't until now - and thank whichever Pokémon deity you choose to canonize (convenient double-meaning right there), because she's a female. She has a brave nature, which, while it certainly isn't adamant, can nevertheless be viable, since Mimikyu gets access to Payback, Shadow Sneak, and Trick Room.
However, I am 100% still going to MM for a hexaperfect, adamant, shiny female Mimikyu (regardless of how long it takes - and W E W lad, it's probably going to take a long goddamn time), but this is still certainly very nice to have!
As strange as it may be, Mimikyu's shiny sprite is probably my favorite out of all of them. It's not in-your-face like the shiny sprites for Charizard, Azumarill, Steelix, Camerupt, Trapinch, Metagross, Shinx, Floatzel, Drifblim, Honchkrow, Weavile, Lickilicky, Arceus, Ferrothorn, Druddigon, Honedge, Hawlucha, Trevenant, Toxapex, Palossand, Bruxish, Dhelmise, Stakataka, like 2/3 of the megas, and so many others.
That's not to say that these are /bad/ shinies, not at all. Off the top of my head, Drifblim, Honedge, Trevenant, and Palossand look fantastic! However, Mimikyu just kind of græyscales everything out, and this dullish, monochrome colo(u)r palette brings out the perfect ambiænce for this kind of Pokémon, but especially Mimikyu in particular. I appreciate its subtlety.
Fuck, Mimikyu is so great.
