I catch everything I can as I progress from location to location (this becomes less fun the further the series progresses because they jam 15 Pokémon onto a route as regular encounters), and when I get a new method to encounter Pokémon (fishing rod, Surf, Headbutt, swarms, Poké Radar, etc.), I start from the first area and work my way back up catching what I couldn't before. This only applies to new encounters (I'm not gonna catch a Patrat again if I already got one). In Sun, I actually took it a step further and started catching anything that was a new encounter. As an example, I caught Bagon, Shelgon, and Salamence since they were all available as separate Pokémon instead of catching Bagon and evolving it all the way up, though I still plan to do so. I'm also now catching both genders if they have a variation. The worst place for this was Malie Garden with Politoed.

I wish they would go back to the pacing of pre-Gen VI where it's like 2-3 new Pokémon per route at the most and all the bonus encounters are post-game and breathe new life into the region.

Pkmn yellow spoiled my by having all 3 starters so as of online trading in gen 4, i always trade for all 3 starters on gts before i continue my playthrough of the games. Makes me feel more like ash in a way and i am very aware of how autistic that is, yet i keep on doing it to this day. I even went out of my way to figure out the 3 starter glitch in the red/blue vc games to start the games with all 3 starters.

I like to save in the center of PokeCenters, or right outside the door from them
I only ever use Pokeballs for regular encounters, Premier Balls for favorite/special mons.
Once a Pokemon in my party has reached its final evolution, I swap it out for a NFE and continue on.
I actually like to run with a 5-mon squad instead of a full 6-mon team, dunno why.
I like to catch everything I can when playing through the game. I wish GF focused on collecting rather than battling.
I try to keep at least 5 of everything in Medicines.

adding onto this but the in-game one was kind of unreliable. iirc it didn't take into account fishing (or did it in a weird way, don't quite remember), there was no way to tell what floor of caves a certain pokemon was found in, no way to tell if a pokemon in that area was super rare or not, no way to tell if it was only in the morning, etc. i started with yellow then silver and quickly realized that just looking online was more useful.

Every time I replay a Pokemon game, I always use 6 Pokemon that I've never or rarely used before. It gets very difficult to replay the older games since I'm literally running out of Pokemon to choose from.

When I first play a pokemon game I only use pokemon from that generation. (Only gen 7 mons in Sun/Moon, gen 6 in XY, etc)

I usually organise the Pokémon I store in my computer in habitats.
Box 1 is called "Forest", Box 2 is "City" and so on, then I store the Pokémon according to the place they're supposed to live.
I've been doing this since my first Sapphire playthrough, but for whatever reason I didn't organise my Pokémon this way in my Moon playthrough.

In HM gens - Water types on my team MUST be good Special Attackers for Surf.
No Floatzel, Quagsire or Gyarados for me.

Water and Ghost types are on my team in every gen. Shame I don't really like Jellicent

Ampharos and Haunter almost always are on my team in a Johto run.

I also catch one of the Electrode, and do my best at level scaling by fighting Chuck, then Pryce and finally Jasmine.

Guess GSCHGSS are by far my most autismo games
