A contrived meme which quaintly reeked
Like so many other on this board
When patrons see nothing, looking forward
This empty space is quite the norm
Given the series' tidal form
And when the waxing comes again
There is fervor in the den
But why is it not empty in-between
When excitement wanes to banal ream?
The single-minded living the dream
Or social disappointment as a teen
Not knowing what to say to peers
Heart set aflutter when danger rears
The science on torpor is torn
I suspect orbitofrontal halves' relative form
Or the addiction to the self-satisfaction
Of false contentment for vague fear of action
Or maybe you just think nothing brings joy
Forgetting your vigor as a young boy
Not realizing motivation is tied to stimulation
Good memories driving you towards re-creation
But to break out of ruts one needs an incentive
And I'm afraid I'm just not that inventive
But perhaps this rhyme, although 2/10
Will prime you to move when hope shines again
So with this last contrived rhyme, I'll cast my ballot
The real world is calling, it's time to leave Pallet.
