Back in BW2, people would trade magnemites over GTS to level up their Join Avenues. It worked remarkably well.

Too bad I've never heard of it before today.. Online Pokémon features used to be so cool back then, even in gen 6 we've had good online interaction with that shiny egg exploit thing, or the Bank exclusive Pokémon.. now it's just some boring missions on festival plazza, which btw is annoying, and no one really cares because we don't really get anything useful from them
