As shallow as it is there is a post game, mostly the UBs catches. Going to the hotels to get the info was annoying when you played the game once a week and forgot where you needed to go

Playing Shin Megmi Tensei 4 Apocalypse (a monster collecting RPG for adults) these days and even the Yo-Kai Watch series does the same thing and Pokemon's target audience of Japanese kids loved THAT game more.
