That's funny, I was just setting up my gamecube to play XD recently and was thinking about how eventually they won't make TV's with AV inputs.

I haven't bought a new one in years though, so I guess I'm a bit behind now. Surely there's a workaround, though?

is there actually tvs without AV input now? i thought phones without headphone jacks was dumb, then computers without CD drives was extremely dumb. but really? i didnt get an HDTV about a year ago and i bought it without even considering the possibility that it wouldnt have AV input. if i got the TV and found out it didnt id be pissed. thatd be 90% of my use for the TV gone

of course there are, these things are always being upgraded as outdated tech gets scrapped. people don’t use cds nearly as much as 15 years ago. also, hdmi absolutely decimates any standard av input

sure but making basically all physical media from before 2010 (or whatever year HDMI took over everything) unusable unless you still have working old devices to use them on is annoying as shit.

if i had to hook up my old CRT every time i wanted to play a console besides switch/wii u or watch an old VHS tape or dvd id probably just leave the CRT hooked up and ditch the switch/wii u entirely because old shit that uses RCA cables is most of what i use my tv for.
