Raichu, it's design is unique and imaginative while also being both cute and cool. It's fun to use in battles. Lastly I like to self insert like an autist when I play PMD. Though I have not reached OC levels yet, nor do I think I ever will.

Back in 2002 I had the tazo in pic related and since it was the only one with that background I had ever seen, (because it's the only ghost type in gen 2 I didn't know that) I always carried it around. The connection I have with it is unique and Misdreavus became my favourite as a result. I don't think any new pokemon can ever achieve something similar. I still have the tazo in my wallet to this day, unfortunately it's not the original.

I think its design is the perfect combination of cool & cute. It's noble and heroic for trying to warn people of incoming disasters. And dark type has always been my favorite.

Sometimes a pokemon just clicks with you more than every other choice. Maybe it was a memorable moment in the games, or maybe it was a shiny you found. Or it could be as simple as liking the design more than everything else.
