Espeon is an Eeveelution, which only have one type. Flareon had Fire taken already. Plus despite being called the Sun Pokémon, it really has little to do with the sun. It just evolves in the day, because it debuted with Umbreon, so they wanted to make the two of them a duo.
Sunflora debateably should be Fire-type, but either way it doesn't really matter. Not everything sun-themed needs to be Fire-type in order for the connection of the Fire-type and the sun to be obvious.

I'll say it for like the third time: Just because there are a couple of exceptions for sun-based things not being Fire-type does not mean that the sun and Fire-type don't go together
Can we please stop pretending to be stupid? I'm not carrying this conversation any further. You all know perfectly well that the Fire-type is associated with the sun. If you want to continue pretending to think otherwise then fine, but I'm not replying anymore.
