Also I’m working on a Mexican fan game region and I’m frustrated by how little there is to pull from, maybe ~60ish mons are passable for the region’s design without specialized environments to include more. A lot of mons draw, even partially, from Japanese myths and motifs. Like Ludicolo is also a Kappa and a better one than Golduck too, which has a carbuncle/hindu god motif for no reason.
