2. SM/ USUM (These instalments are both equal in my eyes. They both had their ups and downs, with SM having better characterisation such as with Lusamine, and USUM having a slightly better main story with Necrozma and the inclusion of Rainbow Rocket. Not the best games because of all the cut scenes and constant hand-holding, but it was still fun. Wish it was more replayable though.)
3. XY (Bland story, bland rivals, and a very linear overworld. Not to mention that the post game is lackluster like all the other 3DS instalments. I remember getting very bored pretty quickly, and completing it felt like a chore. It had some interesting routes and dungeons, but it didn't make up for the fact that the story diminished any enjoyment out of it. I get GFs ambition with these games, but they're not my cup of tea.)
