Are you talking the dub or the most recent, Japanese episode?

Because the latest episode with TR was one of the best episodes there has been so far, TR are literally better than every one of the other characters on the show and have a fuck tone more development than any of them, even Ash.

They got a Z-Ring because they showed they're capable of battling (this season they have been really good) and they got it before Nanu even knew who they were, Jessie got a Mimikyu-Z, all 3 of them did the Z-Move dance to show they're a fucking team and in it together (that was beautiful).

I'm sorry you have absolute shit taste that you want to see Ash-tard and his boring, annoying companions.

Why people act like the OS were some shit? Pokémon anime didn't get any good until Battle Frontier arc in late Gen III. Ash was even more dumb and less entertaining as a character than today.

In the VERY early OS they did a good job showing he was a complete novice and had a long way to go. But he stagnates pretty quick and becomes a generic hero before they even hit Johto.

You realize for something to be filler it's got to be based on but straying from the canon source, right?

The games are the canon here and none of the other Pokémon series media have even tried to follow them. meaning there can no filler, it's just the show or the comic, etc. being whatever it is.
