What isn't fine is just sequentially moving goalposts at the end of each month as it becomes clearer that information isn't gonna drop on that month.
People swore black and blue that the date was February because it was the anniversary. Then when that was nothing, people said 'It's still February! February isn't over yet!". Then it became March based on Eeveeshit and Zeraora and people said the same thing: "It's not the end of March yet, this is normally the month we get the announcements!!". Then March was absolutely nothing too. Then those people began saying April, because April is the latest a Gen has been revealed for a release in the same year and we put up with the same shit: "It'll definitely be April!" "The investors meeting is going to show everyone it's 2018 with a Direct straight afterward!".
Now that April has turned out to be nothing, suddenly "April was never the deadline" and people are talking about E3. That is chronic goalpost moving driven by nothing else but people's inability to admit that they jumped the shark and don't want to lose face.
