Just found this beauty again, switched batteries and took it out for a stroll! Feels good to take my Cyndaquil with me during boring days. Boy, it's nostalgic.

Any tips for someone replaying SS using the pokewalker?
Any tips on how to get the event routes?

You can get the mysterygift files and inject them into your soulsilver save with pkhex

AR is doable. I generally disdain cheating bit I've used it since they went offline when restarting my SoulSilver.

Of course, getting one for DS now is another story. I have no idea how easy that is.

HGSS was a part of 4th gen, but beyond that it was actually released in 2009. Meaning it's 9 years old on it's own, almost a decade. If someone was 18 on this site, the bare minimum, they'd have been 9 when HGSS (and by extension the Pokewalker) came out. That is to say, it's possible for an adult to have nostalgia for the Pokewalker now, as something they played with as a child.

I was an adult when HGSS came out and was living in my own apartment with my girlfriend. Typing all of that out for you has made me feel exceptionally old, thanks Anon.

It only works for one save file at a time. If you delete your save, I think it is possible to use on another version, but I'm not sure.

It fucking hurts. I got a Dialga from Sinjoh Ruins on this save now to relive it somewhat and I'm walking him around. But it still fucking hurts.
