Objectively? Gen 5, the most fleshed out stories, the best NPC dialogue, the last game with sprites and they're amazing, seasons, for some reason this is unpopular but I loved how original the designs were, honestly the second most played generation of mine, next to gen 2 because I kept failing nuzlocke &/ silver is the game I played throughout my childhood
