>>35501958>>35501967To be fair, I would be jealous too if a bunch of smelly otaku that mass-purchased merchandise for an incredibly bland waifubait character just because she's white, has blonde hair and gives you endless compliments and free items while also somehow being integral to the plot despite not actually doing anything (especially in USUM, where she remains in this state indefinitely) were considered more important to GameFreak than an actual honest-to-god player.
But then again, that's where the line's drawn, the merchandise. The West couldn't give a rat's ass about anything other than the games and sometimes TCG, the merch just sits there and rots unless someone who likes a specific Pokemon decides to grab a plush or figure/figurine, or a parent buys a few things for their kids.
