I'm the kind of autist that caught them all, set their natures right, and gave them those awkward Gen 1 only moves.

Mimic is fun. Also the only way to get a Sheer Force Body Slam Tauros.

This is what they do.
If you’re inactive for a few short months, you can pay and get your Pokémon back.
If you’re inactive for like 4 or 5 months, they purge.

I keep seeing this but I haven't bought a pass in over a year and all my mons are still intact. I retrieved a couple of Legendaries of them so I could catch easy Ultra wormhole legends with Repeat Balls.

if youre not paying you can take them out for free, you just cant put them back in. not sure how long before it deletes them though. i swear i went almost a year, maybe even over a year without paying and it didnt delete them

Been playing SS and feels like the good old days again.

Maybe because your data is still in the server but without your payment they can't contain it. I mean this is what the service offers you, containing your pokémon. If they takes your pokémon "as hostages" unless you pay, you can easily exploit it, just by paying the service anytime you need those pokémon or to import yours.
