>>35510332>Those three games have ten times more content and replay value than SMUSUM combined.Subjective.
>Especially when the latter so keenly promised and advertised the non existant "Ultra Changes"5 new Pokemon. 6 new Z-Moves. Mantine Surf. Expanded Pokedex (around 100 new Pokemon). Ultra Warp Ride. Alola Photo Club. Alternate evolution locations for Charjabug, Magneton, and Nosepass. Expanded/changed areas throughout the region, such as Kala'e Bay, Route 1, Mahalo Trail, etc.
>Almost every location being visibly differentIt's just a cosmetic change if nothing else. And USUM have that in some areas too.
>every pokemon receiving a new front spriteSprites are overrated. It doesn't really add much to the gameplay. The models we have now do what sprites can't.
>the addition of VS. screens in important battlesWe don't need VS screens anymore. They didn't really add much to gameplay either.
>Animated trainer spritesWe have trainers getting some animation after they lose a battle in USUM.
>USUM are the exact same game as SM with few changes addedEvery trial after the first is completely different, with many of them having different totems. There is an additional 8th trial that was never in SM. Hala was replaced by Molayne in the E4. The challengers you fight in the Pokemon League are different. The Pokemon you encounter in the dex are different (many of them are found in different locations now).
USUM added more substance than Platinum. The only real difference is the 2-versions thing, which is a bit of a ripoff, but the story necessitates this.
