Machoke and other strong Pokemon are employed to cut down trees and move them to the sawmills. Industrialization of the once sparsely inhabited area has had a detrimental effect on the local environment, making some Pokemon like Venonat less common.
>>35513401Recent technological progress has made it apparent that for the region to prosper, the road infrastructure has to be enhanced, thus the project to built a highway between Vermillion and Fuchsia around the Kanto Bay was realized. Some people show concerns about this investment interfering with migration routes of Pokemon such as Doduo, which populate the area in the colder seasons.
>>35513377A popular mountain trek from the peripheral hillside town of Pewter has recently been modernized to use a chairlift. The resulting popularity of Mt. Moon caused tourism to spring up, which in turn made rare local Pokemon such as Clefairy move to the underground caverns.
It's really not that hard to make an interesting region out of Kanto. It's the remakes that dropped the ball completely.
