Though if you're that scared of heatran you should probably include a more substantial check in your remaining teamslots. One pokemon doesn't have to be able to deal with everything. Running a sub-optimal nature, so you can use a sub-optimal coverage move, is so wasteful.

Earthquake gains no benefit from the sun, you'd just be hurting its ability to do the things it did well and the ability to deal with one or two extra checks doesn't outweigh the lost ko's to reduced power fire stabs/Sbeams.
