That's why SM has had lower ratings than XY at times. The Kalos League literally killed the franchise because of the poor decision by the producers. Even some of the animators (aosh11 who quickly deleted his tweet) who drew the Ash vs Charizard fight on twitter were sutile disappointed at having Ash lose once again.
