Nostalgia's hit me and I want to play Gen 2 again, but I can't figure out if I should go for the legitimacy of the carts or the convenience of my phone. Here's the pros/cons as I see it, what do you guys think?

Cart pros:
>totally legit, will be able to trade shit between this and my 100% complete Gen 1 games.
>assuming that my save survives for long enough for me to meet them again, I might actually be able to trade and battle with my few friends who play the oldest Pokemon games
>will be 100% true to the original experience

Phone pros:
>don't need to carry my Gameboy, or the big carts, around with me
>phone doesn't make a noise when I press the buttons, GBA SP does
>will be with me wherever I go, so I can play it whenever I want
>save will outlast that of the one in the carts
>nice emulator shit like Turbo mode
>I wouldn't be surprised if none of my earphones work with my SP, so phones might be my only way to play the music
