After the art map of Alola was released there were tons of debates on whether the region would be an exact copy of it (and thus small) or whether the map was simplified and areas would actually be lots bigger
Most people believed the later, but the former turnd out to be true

Once the demo rolled around people knew how small the game was going to be.
When I posted this image I don't really remember anyone telling me that I was wrong and the game was going to be way bigger than it looked.

This kind of shit works in 2D games because your imagination is supposed to scale up things, but with an accurate 3D world it just seem small
