i like using stuff with all rounded stats in-game (see also: nidoqueen and golduck) so pidgeot was cool in that respect but waiting forever for shit BP flying stab in gen i was suffering. at least fly was a thing. fearow has got to be one of the most bland gen i designs but desu i like using it in frlg, hold off evoing spearow til lv25, get aerial ace outside of tm, and that's pretty decent until you get drill peck, sucks it doesn't get quick attack tho. dodrio is the king tho, drill peck, quick attack, inexplicable fly and tri attack before the phys/spec split with that shit-hot added effect. but obvs you gotta wait til celadon for that son of a bitch
