How the fuck do you catch Pokemon in the Safari Zone?

I swear to God, throwing rocks and baits don't help.

There's your problem. Bait makes the mon less likely to run but harder to catch. Rocks are vice versa. Other than that you're essentially throwing basic pokeballs at full health pokemon.

Safari Zone is just an RNG-fest, deal with it. Just keep throwing Safari Balls until you catch em all. I remember staying up all night in the weekends just to catch a Chansey
But for reals, ignore rocks or baits. Just chuck balls

Recently replayed Yellow on VC. Had all but given up on Safari Pokemon until I found this website.
Your odds aren't as bad as you think. Like anon said only use Pokeballs, skip the bait and rocks.

Who uses it at all? Go in, have one enounter, then go surf in Cinabar Island with the wild encoutner list set to Safari Zone, but with the ability to battle and use balls
