Beyond that it's all about frame rate. Why would I give a fuck about 4K when some games I own register as 800+ fps with the lower resolution (not that my monitor can do that, but that's beside the point)? Why would I give a fuck about 4K when looking more realistic takes away the charm in playing a game since style (AKA creativity) matters more than realism? Why would I give a fuck about 4K when publishers and developers simply use it as an excuse to price gouge with MT and DLC when almost no one asked for it to begin with?
My PC can do it but I only ever played a game that way as proof of concept when I upgraded it last year and was making sure everything worked as it should.
