When I was in college, me and my classmates made our own "league" in XY
You had to challenge a guy above you to increase your rank
If you got defeated you couldn't increase it for 3 days
Gym Leaders and elite 4 were forced to go monotype
Champion and normal trainers could use anything
Legendaries were forbidden
If you became gym leader you could only pick a type that wasn't already taken by another
Most fun I had out of a pokemon game ever
Ended up as the final Elite 4 focusing on dark types
