>>35539581I think Kalos is a really uneven region, but it had some amazing areas. For instance, I love the autumn fairytale town in the northeast (honestly might be my favorite area in a Pokemon game). I also enjoyed seeing Pokemon Versailles and Pokemon Mont St Michel. But otherwise, Lumiose was too poorly organized to be a fun Paris, and some of the other towns were really forgettable.
But overall, I think Kalos had higher highs than Alola. Maybe it was just too quick coming off the Hoenn remake, but I just got tired of the island theme after a while. I'm much more interested in seeing a more consistent Pokemon Europe in the future.
