Buying an old console now if meaningless to Nintendo at this point, it is invaluable for fomo/impermanence in future sales but you cannot reclaim a sale without rereleasing it. Which is exactly what all the spin off games should have gotten. It wouldn’t have cost them much desu. They’d be exactly the same with the file adjusted not the content
