I am actually conflicted on that one.
I really do like eevee and the eeveelutions. I do not on the other hand like pikachu but really like raichu, even more then eevee.
I think I would stick with eevee at the end since I have more choice and maybe we even get a new eeveelution.

Palkia is the only legendary in my living dex that doesn't have my OT (since I bought Y, AS, Moon and Ultra Sun) so if either has that as an exclusive then I will get that one, unless the UM exclusive UB is locked to the other version then idk, Eevee I guess?

I think they are trying a very smart strategy actually, while it is awful what I think they are trying out, it is genius from market and financial perspective.
They are probably trying to guide all people into playing a single game, both GO and mainline crowd, so they can make it "ultra profitable" in theory, by selling twice the amount by just producing a single game.
It is evil, but it is genius and admirable if you see it on the side of a business man.

I soldiered on through four shitty games in a row and even by USUM I didnt really enjoy playing it and was just playing it for the sake of it. I'll get whichever version my sister doesn't get (we always pair and she always gets first pick and it's tradition now so I'm a stickler for it). I suspect she'd pick the Eevee version though, so I'm almost positive I'll end up with the piakchu one.

I kinda hope to shake things up we actually start with Pichu. I love having a Pokemon it's whole line...plus I suspect they'll give us something, like Raichu variations (we have alolan Raichu already, I could see them pumping in a few more. Sell more Merch and toys that way). Eevee will probably still get a new evolution or two...people want new in Pokémon games, even in remakes. It sells.

I'm pretty resolved on this actually. I'm so fucking done with kanto. When the rumors of kanto remake were floating around for years I was pretty much just assuming those people were delusional. But now that it looks like it could actually be happening, and with a title like that be the worst kind of nostalgiabait cancer imaginable, I just cant. I'm done.
Im currently just holding onto my last sliver of hope that its just some spin-off game to keep everyone distracted in 2018 while waiting for the real games to come out later.
