I'm ready to wait and see, give it a chance. We still know nothing about it, if it's true. I'm a little dissapointed if it's literally just Pokémon Yellow without anything new, but I don't think that will be the case, but I don't hate Kanto. If the graphics upgrade is enough, and the plot is different, I don't think going back to Kanto will feel too familiar because the last time we were there was gen 4 graphics.
To be most excited for this game, I'm hoping for these features:
-Very extensive customization
-Following Pokémon
-If it's not a new gen, I still would like some new Pokemon. Doesn't have to be tons, but some Pikachu evolutions and some Eevee evolutions wouldn't go amiss, even some more "alolan" forms would be neat.
-Great new graphics, if they copy the Kanto map and it's square pixels and blocky look down to each house I would be VERY disappointed. It needs to look as good as Usum at least!!! Kanto doesn't have any big cities or anything like that. Needs some updates.
- New plot, preferably one that isn't legendary based and about saving the world.
-Battle Frontier or something similar
-A system similar to the PSS in gen 6
-Pokemon ride to return.
I actually like the idea of starting with a Pokemon other than a grass, fire, water starter. I could get behind that to be honest, it could be a welcome change. What scares me the most about these games, honestly, is the idea that the Lapras image leak is the actual graphics, cause that's majorly dissapointing. It's also disspaointing because of the "Ultra Violet and Infra Red" rumors that were going around, with the games being set one in future Kanto and the other in past Kanto. Those sounded wicked awesome in comparison. I never thought they were real, but they certainly sounded better than this thus far :(
